About

Joe Davis BVSc MRCVS MANZCVS (Rum. Nut.) PG (Innov. Ent.)

Originally from a farm in the UK, I started out my veterinary life as a mixed animal vet but quickly began to concentrate on farm animals, working in the dairy areas of Devon and Shropshire, tending to herds both large and small as well as the odd flock of sheep.

Following a scholarship to New Zealand in 2009 for a hectic calving season, I made my way to Busselton to work at a mostly cattle practice up until 2020. During this time I gained membership of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in Ruminant Nutrition as well as passing accreditations in both pregnancy testing and bull breeding soundness examination from the Australian Cattle Veterinarians association.

I am also a member of the British Cattle Veterinary Association and BCVA Accredited Johne's and BVDV Veterinary Advisor.  My main interests are in surgery, nutrition and lameness and I like to keep a keen eye on technological developments which improve health and welfare outcomes for farm animals. Forrest Farm Vets was set up in 2020 to provide a responsive and efficient large animal veterinary practice to serve the local area with a full range of veterinary services.
